Maya is a gentle yet profoundly stirring song that highlights the duality of being alive. Referencing
the Vedic concept of “maya” (Sanskrit for the “magic” or “illusion” that the Divine uses to
orchestrate our temporary earthly experience) the song questions what is real, what is an illusion
and what is everlasting. The answer is always pure Love. In the song maya is personified as a
woman; her skin the ocean, her gaze a trick and all she looks on – sun, stone, woods, the sun –
temporary. Featuring the soulful Indian flute playing of Venkhatesh Sritharan, Maya is an
alternative/AAA Finalist in the International Acoustic Music Awards.
